The scenic company's October 7, 2026 operating bulletin, reported in a dated news reproduction, says the winter season starts October 8. It lists 08:00–17:30 for the daytime mountain visit and 08:30–17:30 for daytime sightseeing boat boarding, with rolling boat departures. The 2026 bulletin also describes onsite tickets at staffed visitor centers. That confirms a possible physical service point, not universal foreign-passport checkout success or guaranteed same-day inventory. Have a backup itinerary if your visit depends on a limited boat departure.
Can you walk down to the Buddha's feet?
The October operating notice said the Nine Bends Plank Road (九曲栈道) was under maintenance, with the Lingyun path (凌云栈道) available as the stated descent alternative at that time. This is a maintenance-sensitive statement: ask staff at the entrance whether the currently open route reaches the viewpoint you want before committing to the walk.
Being within the scenic area is not the same as receiving guaranteed access to every stair or viewing platform. If you're short on time or have mobility concerns, call the scenic operator and ask what is open on the exact date.

Start by checking your return train time and the transport from the actual HSR station to the selected scenic entrance or boat pier. Read the specific refund and time-slot conditions before prepaying.
