Book on the park’s official channel first

The park’s September 28, 2026 visitor notice directs visitors to the WeChat mini program 九寨沟旅游官方平台 (Jiuzhaigou Official Tourism Platform). The official September 26 notice also names 阿坝旅游网 (Aba Tourism Network) as an alternative mini program. These are entry reservations, not simply transport tickets to the valley.

Prepare the travel date, number of people and exact passport name and number. We cannot verify every foreign-passport field or overseas-number SMS flow in the live mini program, so check the identity document choices before making an irreversible purchase.

Why dates can be unavailable even months before arrival

Peak-season capacity is monitored strictly. In late September 2026 the park reported 41,000 reservations and sold out multiple October 2–5 dates. The official warning is effectively do not travel without a confirmed reservation. Free or discounted ticket recipients also need the relevant advance booking.

Before leaving Chengdu or booking a long transfer, verify you have an order with your travel day, correct traveler identity, ticket category and status. Carry the original passport entered at reservation. If a mini program blocks entry because it only offers mainland ID types or a +86 number, record the exact screen and contact the park’s ticket service number 0837-7769999 as published by the park; ask which official assisted or alternative booking path exists for a foreign passport.

No cited official source confirms that a foreign passport is universally accepted via every app step. Do not invent a QR workaround or book under another person’s identity.

  1. Check the reservation status before paying for a nonrefundable tour or remote hotel transfer.
  2. If the purchase is through an agency, request the actual park-issued real-name reservation, not a generic voucher.
