Quick answer: If your UOM identity verification is pending, you have not yet proved your drone is registered. Check the status of your personal account separately from the status of the aircraft record. The CAAC notice identifies UOM as the official registration and airspace platform. The operating rules, Article 92.205, require applicable owners to complete real-name registration and obtain a mark before use.
I submitted my passport details. What should I check now?
- Sign in to the same UOM account you used for submission. Do not open another account just because there is a delay.
- Return to the personal identity or account review area shown in your live session. Read the actual Chinese message, not just the color of a status icon.
- Record the submission date, exact visible status and any correction text. If you need assistance, crop or redact the screenshot so no passport, phone number, email, face or document number is exposed.
- If the result is genuinely pending, check whether the official page requests action. If it requests none, there is no evidence that resending everything will speed it up.
- If the result is rejected, follow the reason given for that specific submission.
- If approved and the platform lets you continue, proceed to aircraft registration. You still need to check the registration mark on the aircraft's own record.
How long does foreign passport identity review take?
There is no verified universal approval time for every foreign passport application or a guarantee before an upcoming flight. Some travelers report quick decisions and others report delays or requests for different identity documents. Your own UOM status message governs the next action.
In an anonymized October 2026 support case, we helped a foreign visitor prepare the documents and the account identity submission was reported complete, with a decision still pending at the time of the case notes. That did not establish approval, aircraft registration or flight permission. The example shows why an approaching departure date should not be treated as a promised approval deadline.
UOM identity verification rejected: what next?
A rejected account identity check should be solved at the account/owner stage, not by changing your drone's serial number or creating a new owner's identity.
- Open the rejection detail and read the exact field or document the reviewer flags.
- Correct the affected name, passport photo or supporting document only when instructed and when the corrected information is true.
- Resubmit only through the edit or resubmission path the portal offers.
- If the reason is incomplete or the edit control is missing, contact official UOM support with the exact error text and a redacted screenshot.
- Keep a private record of what was changed; avoid repeatedly creating duplicate accounts.

UOM says registration complete — where is my QR code?
First determine what was registered. A success indicator for account creation cannot replace a registration mark for a named aircraft.
Open the aircraft record in UOM, confirm the manufacturer, model and serial match your physical aircraft, and look for the 登记标识 (registration identifier/mark) and 二维码 (QR code). Save the official mark according to UOM instructions and apply it as required.
If those fields are absent, blank or associated with the wrong aircraft, do not announce that registration is complete.
DJI Fly still says unregistered even when UOM has a mark
The manufacturer app and the CAAC registry are different systems. DJI guidance discusses refreshing registration status in DJI Fly, and sync delays can occur. Before doing anything else, verify the correct serial number and official UOM result. Restart/re-login to DJI Fly as suggested by DJI; if it remains inconsistent, use manufacturer support.
Do not cancel or submit a second CAAC aircraft registration solely to force the app display to change.
Can I fly while UOM review is still pending?
Do not treat pending owner identity review as an issued aircraft registration mark. Completing aircraft registration also does not grant universal permission to fly: check UOM airspace information, local restrictions and whether your planned flight requires filing or approval. Not by itself. Read the page title and whether it refers to creating an account, identity review or registering a particular aircraft.
Should I resubmit every day?

What should I do if my trip starts before UOM approves?
Do not assume that an imminent departure accelerates review or grants an exemption. Consider the possibility that you will not be able to fly the drone until the required registration and any flight permissions are in place.
