English guide for foreign visitors
How do I buy Shanghai Disneyland tickets using a foreign passport?
Back to Guides · Shanghai Disneyland official site ↗
Step 1 of 4
Open the official ticket channel
Do this
Go to Shanghai Disneyland's own official ticket entry point rather than a search-result reseller. Use the resort's official site or official app as the booking owner, and treat any third-party page as a pointer only, not as the rule.
- Done when
- You are on the resort's official ticket page or official app ticket screen, and the page shows a date/ticket selection control.
If this fails
If you cannot confirm the page is the operator's own channel, stop. Do not enter passport details or pay. Return to the resort's official site and start again from there.
Step 2 of 4
Choose date and ticket type
Do this
Select your visit date and the ticket type that matches your group, then check the price shown for that date before continuing.
- Done when
- The channel displays your chosen date and ticket type together with the price for that selection, and you can proceed to visitor details.
If this fails
If your date shows no availability or the price is not what you expected, change the date or ticket type on the same channel. Do not pay for a date you cannot use.
Step 3 of 4
Enter each visitor's identity
Do this
For each visitor, enter the identity details exactly as printed on the passport that person will carry to the park. Match spelling and order to the document; do not shorten or translate the name.
- Done when
- The review screen shows each visitor's name matching their passport, with the correct date and ticket type, before any payment.
If this fails
If a name does not match the passport, correct it on the channel before paying. A mismatch between the booking identity and the document presented at the gate is the failure this step exists to prevent.
Step 4 of 4
Pay and keep the order record
Do this
Pay only on the verified official channel, then keep the order confirmation and any ticket record it produces.
- Done when
- The channel issues a dated ticket confirmation for your visit, and you have saved the order record. A debited card, a pending order or a price quote is not yet a ticket.
- Finished only when
- The operator's official channel has issued a dated ticket confirmation for your visit date, tied to the passport identity you entered, and you have kept the order record.
- A card debit or payment authorization with no ticket confirmation
- An order shown as pending or processing
- A price quote or a seat/date held without an issued ticket
- A confirmation whose visitor name does not match the passport that will be presented
If this fails
If payment appears to go through but no ticket confirmation appears, do not pay again. Check the existing order status on the same channel first, then use the operator's own order/refund channel if it is unresolved.
After this task
Refund and change terms are the operator's own policy and must be read fresh; they are a different job from completing the purchase.
